Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- The airline Viva Aerobús reported on its website that it will have flights from Los Mochis, Sinaloa to Mexico City.It disclosed that this new route will be operating from December 17, with two flights a week: mondays and Thursdays.

According to the airline, the departure of the plane from Mexico City on Thursday, December 17 will be at 6:20 hours to reach Los Mochis airport at 7:50 hours, so you will be making time 2 hours with 30 minutes and no stopovers. To this day there were only 5 seats available for that date.
Viva Aerobús reactivates
Acela Barboza Rivera, administrator of Los Mochis airport, said that at the moment Viva Aerobús has not informed them about this new route to Mexico City, but it has been revived for the next November 2nd with two flights a week from Los Mochis to Monterrey. “The airline’s notification is the flight to Monterrey, two days a week. That’s all he gave us. This airline normally had two weekly flights per itinerary, but derived from the pandemic, in April it ceased operations and had no longer operated with us.” He stated that he has also heard comments on this flight to Mexico City, and that if he is already posting it on his website, it will surely be a fact.” Sometimes that’s the way it happens, the airline does it, it publishes them and then takes them to the airport. He may have the flights to Mexico City, but he still doesn’t confirm it to us. He would confirm, I want to think that by the end of October he would have to give us his December itineraries, if he’s going to have it,” he said, commenting that Viva Aerobús is the only airline that stopped operating by the pandemic and has so far not been reactivated.

Passenger flow
Barboza Rivera mentioned that the recovery of passenger flow will be gradually. He added that so far this year, compared to 2019, there is 40 percent less passenger flow. However, it stated that an uptick is expected by November and December, as there will be a larger number of flights.
