Morelia, Michoacán.- Morelia City Council reported in a statement that it launched the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign; “Saving Your Life Is in Your Hands,” which includes various activities to reduce the incidence of your condition.
The Honorary President of DIF Morelia, Rosalva Vidal Pérez, reported that part of the awareness campaign consists of the delivery of 66 external prostheses to women who have gone through the mastectomy process; as well as the realization of the Pink Route, which aims to motivate physical activation, as it is an important part of breast cancer prevention.

Director-General Alejandra Corona González also said that from the first day of October began with the transfer of women from communities to the facilities of the Medical Specialty Unit dedicated to Breast Cancer, as part of prevention actions, helping to create the conditions for all women to have access to preventive health services , so the goal is to benefit 300 women.
In the same sense, the Director of the Municipal Institute for Physical Culture and Sport, Francisco Javier Torres Zambrano, commented that different Morelian and Michoacan athletes who join the campaign to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity to prevent disease, and explained that the Pink Route is limited to the participation of 100 people and will be held on Saturday, October 17 , departing from La Campiña.
Finally, the Municipal Trustee, Labinia Aranda Ortega, invited the public to become aware of the issue of Breast Cancer, so the campaign is in solidarity with women and men, and joins the month of the fight against this condition that affects thousands of women around the world.
It is noteworthy that the Ruta Rosa is free and comprises a distance of 4.2 kilometers from La Campiña until you reach the Cointzio dam. Registrations will take place from 5 to 15 October at the facilities of DIF Morelia and IMCUFIDE, where they will be awarded a commemorative kit allusive to the pink month.
