Chiapas authorities found three charred bodies inside a vehicle in the municipality of Mapastepec.
District Attorney’s Office Istmo Costa said it had started an investigation folder for the crime of murder, so the bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service for identification.

«After learning the criminal news of the presence of three cremated bodies inside an incinerated vehicle, a specialized group of experts, public ministries and policemen arrived at the site to initiate investigative proceedings aimed at clarifying the facts and determining responsibilities,» the Chiapas Prosecutor’s Office explained in a statement.

According to the Diario de Chiapas, it was peasants transiting the rural road of the Pampa Honda community who found the charred bodies, inside the car.
