translated from Spanish: Association of Officials of the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission began debt paralysis in their remuneration

As a product of a remuneration due, the Association of Officials of the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission announced indefinite unemployment as of Thursday. In particular, they are protesting the non-payment of a compensatory bonus since January of this year.
According to the la Razón medium, the mobilization began at about 9:00 a.m. today when workers ceased operations at the La Reina Center for Nuclear Studies.
Unemployment is that this compensatory bonus, since 1986, was paid to all CCHEN officials as part of their remuneration. This allocation stems from the exclusion that was applied to CCHEN in 1981 from the payment of a bonus for services governed by the Single Salary Scale.
From the committee they point out that the allocation depends on the processing of Supreme Decree No. 21, of the Ministry of Energy, which is currently in the Directorate of Budgets (DIPRES) since March 2020.
In this regard, the President of the Association of Officials of the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission, Diego Vargas, explained that “throughout 2020 we have had an arbitrary pay cut, between 15% and 18%, which is part of our remuneration”.
Vargas says that they have met several times with the Undersecretary of Energy, Francisco López, to speed up the processing, however, he points out that in 7 months of dialogue no progress has been made.
“We put an ultimatum on September 28th, if there are no answers, we will start a paralysis,” he added.
The leader of the association further reported that the mobilization had the support of the National Group of Tax Employees (ANEF).
