The Ministry of Health delivered a new televised report of the pandemic in Chile on Saturday. Led by portfolio holder Enrique Paris, in the company of Undersecretary Paula Daza, the report revealed that, in the last 24 hours, 52 new deaths and 1,228 new Covid-19 contagions were recorded.
According to data issued by the Minsal Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), the total deaths to date are 13,272 people.
For their part, of the total new contagions, 1,228 had symptoms, 581 were asymptomatic, and 43 cases have not been reported.
The people who have contracted SARS-Cov-2 in the country since 3 March are 479,595.
Not everything is new contagion and Minsal also accounted for 452,054 people who have “recovered”, that is, who can no longer spread the virus.
Today, 14,269 people are active cases, i.e. able to spread the virus to others.
As for the integrated covid network, there are 817 patients in the intensive care units. In addition, 609 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation and 95 are in critical condition. There are 413 fans available.
The laboratories also reported 36,022 PCR tests, with a daily positivity of 5.06%. Currently, 3,654,041 of these tests have been practiced in the country, which have a positivity of 13.12%.
As for sanitary residences, there are 149 enclosures, with 10,392 quotas, of which 5,553 are occupied throughout the country.
