Today’s Sunday dawned with sad news in show business after farewell to Hugo Arana, who had an outstanding career in Argentine theatre, film and television.
The news was confirmed this Sunday morning by the Argentine Association of Actors via Twitter: “With great sorrow we said goodbye to fellow actor Hugo Arana”.

Loved by his peers and by the audience who enjoyed his performances for more than 30 years, from Filo.News, we want to remember him in some of his most recognized films.
The Holy One of the Sword (1970): The life of General José de San Martín, his epic during American emancipation and his actions of sacrifice and courage to obtain the freedom of a people.
La Tregua (1974): It is the story of a fifest office worker who lives a love with a co-worker much younger than him.
The journey to the sea (2003): Six villagers travel from the city of Minas, Uruguay, to the beaches of Canelones, to see the sea for the first time.
Death in Buenos Aires (2014): It deals with the story of Inspector Chávez, a tough-ass man and policeman, who is in charge of the investigation of a homicide in Buenos Aires. At the crime scene he meets Agent Gomez, aka El Ganso, an attractive rookie cop who becomes his right-hand man and uses him as bait to catch the killer.
Argentine soldier only known to God (2016): Juan and Ramón are childhood friends until Juan falls in love with Ana, Ramon’s sister. As Juan prepares to enter the Fine Arts, Ramón decides to make the military career. In the Falkland Islands the best friends will be found again and Ramon will save John’s life. Their fates in war will be almost opposites.
