On 15 October 2019, economist and journalist Marcelo Zlotogwiazda died of colon cancer. His last works were driving Desafío 20.19 in C5N and El horno is for buns on Radio with Vos.Se received a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 1982. He devoted himself to his profession in the private sphere and teaching until he began journalism in 1985.Su media career began in the economic section of the magazine El Periodista and then debuted in radio, in the program No anesthesia, conducted by Eduardo Aliverti on Radio Belgrano. He later joined Page/12 and on television was part of the D-Day staff, the journalistic cycle led by Jorge Lanata in America TV. He then doubled into several programs with Ernesto Tenembaum and currently drove El horno no está para bollos (Radio con Vos) and Desafío 2019 (C5N). He was also a columnist at Infobae. For his professional work he received numerous awards such as TEA, Citibank, Konex and Martín Fierro. He wrote «The Gold Mafia» and «Citibank vs. Argentina: History of a Bankrupt Country.» His death was regretted by representatives of politics such as Mauricio Macri, Alberto Fernández, Roberto Lavagna, among others, and by media figures, among them: Gustavo Sylvestre, Ernesto Tenembaum, Elizabeth Vernaci, Daniel Hadad and more.
