President Andrés Manuel López said that he does not agree with his brother Pio asking for a 12-year prison sentence for journalist Carlos Loret de Mola for broadcasting a video in which he is seen receiving money, because he said, this affects him and his government.
“I don’t agree with him (Pio) should not be asked for such punishment for anyone and more if he’s my brother because that’s used by my adversaries against my people and the government I represent,” the representative said at his conference on Monday.
He assured that this is a matter between individuals and that he desys the public from the familiar.
“It is particular matters in this case that Loret de Mola does not worry if they did nothing to him when he carried out the montage ordered by Genaro García Luna, nor so that we act as Genaro García Luna,” the representative added.

This Sunday, journalist Carlos Loret de Mola revealed on social media that the president’s brother denounced him to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) and asked for 12 years in prison for broadcasting a video where he receives money from former Civil Protection Coordinator David León. Resources that would go to the 2015 election campaign.
The reporter notes that the complaint is about invading his privacy, but adds that the person who recorded the video was David León himself.

López Obrador insisted that no one, including journalists, will be harassed or persecuting, but that he will exercise his right of reply.
“We will not harass to pursue anyone are very upset, those of the press sold and rented from other times, the conservative press, but we will not violate the right to free manifestation of ideas to freedom of the press, we will not touch Loret de Mola or with the petal of a rose.
“I’m not going to test them with anything, just exercising my right of reply, because they’re also very ill-used to being questioned, screaming like preachers, throwing themselves at us with everything and shutting up like a mummy to protect the regime,” she said.
