translated from Spanish: These are the six states where there is an increase in COVID-19 cases

Chihuahua, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Durango, Nuevo León and Zacatecas have characteristics of what could be considered a regrowth, reported José Luis Alomía, Director General of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health.
At the COVID-19 conference on Thursday, October 22, the official explained that in Aguascalientes there is an increase in estimated cases (about 600 in the last epidemiological week, the 41) that exceeds what was observed in previous peaks.

The state, he said, has shown “undulating” behavior, with contagions rising and desing, but this time the rise is more considerable, although the percentage of positive steps recorded among all those analyzed is only above 30%.
So, Alomia explained, is that “we say that it is already an entity that has input characteristics of a regrowth”. But that effect is not yet seen in deaths.
General beds in Aguascalientes are still in a green range, below 30% occupancy. Not so the fan beds, which were fluctuating within the yellow range (colors assigned by the hospital conversion guideline) and in recent days reached orange range, “which begins to detonate first actions in order to prepare for possible saturation”.

In Chihuahua, Alomía warned, they do have a significant increase, with rapid ascent of cases: “that is, a transmission speed that has been given practically in the last two weeks. The peak of week 41 far exceeds, almost four times (with about 2,700 estimated cases) than had been observed in previous weeks.”
The percentage of positivity (the samples that are positive from among all those taken) went from around 60% to about 80%.
In this entity, the number of people who are dying from severe acute respiratory infection also has an increase, parallel to the estimated cases.

In hospital occupancy, general beds and fan beds are in orange ranges, the former already bordering the red range.
In this case, Alomía noted, “we have almost five indicators that are confluence with information that tells us that the transmission has increased significantly in Chihuahua and that therefore there are immediate actions that are being taken and surely we hope in a few days or another week we can see results of them”.

Durango also has a significant increase in week 41, which nearly doubles that recorded in previous weeks, with around 1,200 estimated cases and a positivity rate of about 50%. Although mortality is still declining.
The general beds are in orange, a range that reached the state in almost the last five days; and in the case of fan beds it is still in yellow range, below what it would mean to detonate conversion processes.
“Here are practically two indicators that we have on the rise, the other three are still at safety levels,” Alomía said.

In Nuevo León, positivity indicators have risen in the last two weeks. At week 41, the percentage of positive tests is 50% which is not very different from what was presented in previous weeks. Mortality still has a downward trend.

Although, the general beds are already in orange range. And in the case of fan beds, these are located on a yellow level, which would not necessarily require detonating conversion actions but to turn on alerts.

Querétaro also has an increase in the number of estimated cases, with just over a thousand in the last epidemiological week; while the positivity rate is at 50%. Although mortality has not increased here either, it continues to trend downwards.

As for hospital occupation, Querétaro keeps its indicators green, in a low range that has not exceeded 30%, although in fan beds it has always been on a green-yellow boundary line.

The sixth state at risk, Zacatecas, has in estimated cases a significant increase from epidemiological week 40, to reach approximately 900 and a positivity rate of about 60%. But mortality is not yet increasing. In hospital occupation it is in a low yellow range.
