The Ministry of Health delivered this Saturday a new report of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic in Chile. The portfolio led by Dr. Enrique Paris reported that, in the last 24 hours, there were 1,631 new contagions and 48 deaths according to the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS).
Of the total number of new cases, 1,121 had symptoms, 491 were asymptomatic and 19 have not yet been reported.
Since the onset of the pandemic, 13,892 people have died, while cases of contagion reached 500,542.
In addition, according to the Minsal criteria, 476,576 people have “recovered”.
The active cases are 9,990, i.e. infected patients capable of infecting others.
The laboratories reported 37,796 PCR tests in the last 24 hours, totaling to date 4,081,078 tests since the pandemic was unsanced in March this year. Daily positivity was 4.32%.
There are, meanwhile, 729 patients hospitalized in the intensive care units of the integrated covid network, of which 85 are in critical condition. There are 395 fans available.
For sanitary residences, there are 151 enclosures available, with 10,871 total quotas, of which 5,252 are being used.
