During this day, the senator, Felipe Kast, descorated himself from the idea of the UDI forming a single list on the right for the choice of constituents. For the legislator, “on Sunday the public made a brutal call to look for independent candidates”, so he assured that from Evópoli they are looking for people who meet that profile to compete on a list of Chile Vamos.
“On Sunday the public made a brutal call to look for independent candidates to look for a change in the way we do politics and that’s why we from Evópoli are doing it and what we’re going to continue to do is look for a number of diverse independent candidates who can compete on a list of Chile Vamos,” the senator said in conversation with Radio Duna.
In this sense, Felipe Kast assured that “all those people who have that profile, who represent well the values of this new political cycle, I will at least try to make it those people who occupy the space on our list of Evópoli”.
Regarding the position of gremialism, the parliamentarian noted that “what the UDI does or does not do is their responsibility, but on the Evópoli list we will look very hard for independent candidates”.
