In view of the activation of the Emergency Button by COVID-19, the Jalisco Ministry of Health (SSJ) strengthened health filters at the points of entry and exit of the state: air, sea and land with the main objective of strengthening epidemiological surveillance, as well as preventive and detection control measures in a quick and timely manner in the face of suspicious cases at these sites.
This Sunday, November 1, the governor of Jalisco released his weekly report on the incidence rate of COVID-19 contagions and hospital occupation, through which he said:
“This is the reality in which we are standing. Going from 400, in the case rate per million inhabitants, is the reason for having activated the #BotónDeEmergencia; a difficult but necessary decision to reduce contagion and prevent thousands of deaths”

He wrote on twitter accompanying the message with an image showing that the current hospital occupation is 23.2%, with the cap being 50%, and the incidence of contagion is 416.1, where the cap was 400.As for the hours of suspense of activities because of the activation of the so-called Emergency Button that started this Friday, October 30, these will be Monday to Friday from 19:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day and weekends will start at 6 a.m. and end the following Monday at 6:00 a.m., while in the specific case of Puerto Vallarta the activity suspension schedules will be only at night times : from 20:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day, explained Alejandro Guzmán, holder of the Strategic General Coordination of Growth and Economic Development.Officials also released a list of prohibited and permitted activities to be carried out at night and on weekends in Jalisco. It should be remembered that in the report issued last Friday Ricardo Cortés, director of Health Promotion of the Federal Government, the state of Jalisco was placed again at orange traffic light and said that it will remain so in the next 15 days. The Jalisco Ministry of Health recommends staying in public spaces for a short time, properly using the water cover (as mentioned can reduce the risk of contagion by up to 90 percent), avoid agglomerations – especially in enclosed places – keep a distance of 1.5 meters between people, and frequently wash your hands with soap and water or use alcohol gel. He also stressed that it is very important to be alert to the presence of coronavirus symptoms, such as non-yielding fever, shortness of breath or recording an oxygen saturation of less than 92 percent, and to immediately go to a medical unit, without waiting for the result of a laboratory test for SARS-CoV-2.Coronavirus cases and reactivation in Jalisco
