By 8 August 2021, the primary legislative elections (STEP) are scheduled and 24 October is the day on which the new national authorities will be finally defined. However, the advance of the pandemic and almost eight months of isolation raised a first doubt in the resepecto of the celebration of the pandemic. Sergio Uñac, governor of the province of San Juan, got ahead of this situation, 10 months after the vote and put on the air the idea that they can be suspended, leaving only the legislative elections of October.
