Former WBC heavyweight world champion Luis Ortíz is ready to face American Alexander Flores in the ten-round full-weight stellar bout on Saturday, November 7 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The contest, which is promoted by the Premier Boxing Champions series, will be broadcast on cable and satellite television by FOX and ESPN in Latin America.

Luis Ortiz (31-2, 26 KOs) will reappear in the ring, after almost a full year of inactivity, when he faced, unsuccessfully, the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship, against then-champion Deontay Wilder, who knocked out the Cuban in the seventh round.
“I can’t wait to get back in the ring and make a great performance. Train hard and I’m going to prove why I’m still one of the most dangerous heavyweights, that no one wants to face,” Luis Ortiz said. His rival, californian Alexander Flores (18-2, 16 KOs), will run for this engagement, too, after a year of no action. For the American fighter, this fight is a big leap in his opposition, as his record shows no heavy opponents, with the exception of former New Zealand world champion Joseph Parker, who dispatched him in just three rounds, in December 2018. “I’m always fit all year round, so now we’re just sharpening the tools for Saturday. Ortiz comes from a big fight and I’ll be ready for the best Ortiz we’ve ever seen. I don’t know if you’re ignoring me, all I know is that I’m going to take this opportunity, that will change my life.” In the co-star fight of the same billboard, World Boxing Organization (OMB) heavyweight champion NABO, Cuban Frank Sanchez (15-0, 11 KOs), will defend his important American regional title for the third time against American Brian Howard (15-3, 12 KOs). BACKUPIn another interesting crash, heavyweight Michael Coffie (10-0, 7 KOs) will kill Joey Abell (35-10, 33 KOs), eight rounds away. Cuban Carlos Negrón (21-3, 17 KOs) will rival the dangerous Mexican-American Rafael Rios (11-2, 8 KOs), in an eight-round scheduled bout.
