The Government published in the Official Gazette the new requirements to access the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), a week after President Alberto Fernández announced the incorporation of one million children and adolescents into the social assistance program.
According to Decree 840/2020, to receive the financial support of the AUH it will be necessary to:
That the girl, child or adolescent and/or person with disabilities is Argentinian or native Argentine or native, naturalized or naturalized or by option. In the case of a person with a disability and his parents or the persons in charge of them are foreign or foreign, they must prove, both the person with a disability and him or the holder who will receive the Assignment, two years of legal residence in the country.
The identity of the benefit holder and the child, the child, adolescent and/or person with disabilities must be established by national identity document (ID)”.
To prove that the person who will receive the benefit is responsible for the child, child, adolescent and/or person with disabilities, depending on the provisions of the Civil and Commercial Code of the Nation and in accordance with the documentation available to the National Social Security Administration for these purposes.
The accreditation of disability status shall be determined in the terms of Article 2 of Law No. 22.431, certified by the competent authority.
Up to and including 4 years of age, compliance with health checks and the mandatory vaccination plan must be established. While from the age of 5, and up to the age of 18, the attendance of children and adolescents must also be established to public educational establishments.
