Mexico City’s epidemiological traffic light is closer to red due to a change in trend in hospitalizations for COVID-19 patients, capital government chief Claudia Sheinbaum said thursday.

In videoconference, he went ahead that new measures to prevent COVID-19 contagion will be announced tomorrow.
“Beyond the traffic light itself if it is important to take steps to prevent hospitalizations from continuing to grow at this speed,” he said.
As of Thursday, the CDMX records 15,839 COVID-19 deaths, and a cumulative of 174,127 positive cases.
