Morelia, Michoacán.- The Government of Morelia will initiate the consultation of a tool that will allow citizens to know and nurture with proposals and ideas the Municipal Urban Development Program Municipal Development (PMDU) 2020-2040, which will be the regulation and planning in the growth of the municipality for the next 20 years and thus address the most frequent problems of the population by redirecting the budget to actions and works with greater impact on the quality of life of the morelians , as reported in a statement.
In this sense, the director of the Municipal Planning Institute of Morelia, César Flores García, released that once published in the Official Journal of the State the approval of the formation of the PMDU by Cabildo will start the consultation, which will last for 40 days and two main modalities, thematic and territorial public hearings.
The dates on which the reduced meetings will be held and which will be broadcast live to know and collect the participation of the public, social and private sectors in building a long-term vision and by boosting the sustainability and competitiveness of Morelia’s development will be on December 1 and 17 of this year , as well as 19 January 2021 based in the Poliforum.
Flores García emphasized that the forums will not only be held in the urban area but in rural areas in the 14 tenures from this month of November. He highlighted that the PMDU would be a mechanism of public policy and social interest, so it invited the morelians to participate in the 7 different mechanisms to give their ideas: Hearings; Forums, Window; Online participation formats; Display sites; Website; and Institutional consultation to ensure sustainable growth of the municipality for the next 20 years.
This Program and its entry into operation will improve the quality of public services, reduce pollution by generating a development of the municipality with the least possible environmental impact, ensure the supply of drinking water and the optimal conduction of vital liquid to the moreenal households, determine the best areas to invest in the purchase of a home or heritage, preserve aquifer mantle , to consider better road mobility strategies and aligns with SEDATU’s territorial ordering strategy.
