This Thursday, Unity of Constituents, a pact formed by the Socialist Party, the PPD, the Radical Party, Christian Democracy, the Progressive Party and Citizens, reached a general agreement that includes the conduct of citizen consultations in 85 communes of the country on December 20, to define through this mechanism a unique candidacy of the bloc for the municipal elections of April 2021.
The seat of the PS was reached by the presidents of the parties, Heraldo Muñoz (PPD), Alvaro Elizalde (PS), Carlos Maldonado (PR), Fuad Chahin (DC), Camilo Lagos (PRO) and María Ignacia Gómez (Ciudadanos) to close the agreement, as well as the secretaries general.
In the view of those present, this alliance complies with the principle that citizens have a leading role in defining local leadership.
The timetable for carrying out these consultations also establishes the review of the health conditions of each commune during the coming week, in order to comply with the protocols established by the regulations of our country as a product of the pandemic.
Consultations will be made in 85 communes, which you can meet at the following link.
