Sixteen applicants for an independent candidacy for federal meps received their record from the National Electoral Institute (INE), after they met the requirements of the call.

The INE reported that from this 3 December until 31 January, applicants will be able to initiate activities that allow them to obtain citizen support equivalent to at least 2% of the Nominal List of the electoral district for which they seek to compete.
To do this, they must use a mobile application designed for this purpose and finance themselves with private resources of lawful origin, not exceeding 143 thousand 211 pesos, which will be subject to control.
Applicants for independent applications must apply for registration in formula, where the owner and alternate must be of the same gender, although if the owner is a man, they may have an alternate woman.
In addition to the 16 records that were submitted, three applications continue in compliance analysis until this December 3, and 41 applicants were required for more information. One gave up.
The 61 applications for registration of applicants for an independent candidacy come from 17 states: Baja California (1), Mexico City (11), Coahuila (1), Colima (2), State of Mexico (13), Guanajuato (2) and Hidalgo (7).

Applications that resulted from should have included a certified copy of the Civil Association’s Constitutive Act that they integrate for the administration of resources, as well as their Federal Taxpayer Registry (RFC), bank account and emblem that distinguishes it while seeking the support of the public.
For the call, the INE foresees the obligation of applicants to submit a letter protesting truth without being convicted of a crime of political violence against women on the ground of gender.

Derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, the call also established that all notifications made to applicants be via email, including the procedure for selecting the independent candidacy.
