Morelia, Michoacán.- Under the task of improving the quality of life of citizens, the Government of Morelia, through the Secretariat of Welfare and Social Policy, concluded the 2020 period of the Food Welfare for Mother Heads of Families program, with which 60 thousand pantries were delivered in communities, colonies and holdings of the Michoacana capital.
With the support of the staff of the Human Development Directorate, a total of 6 operatives were organized during this year, with which bimonthly 10 thousand basic baskets were delivered with the highest quality products including: vegetable oil, rice, sugar, bean, soybean, lentil, pasta for soup, oats, corn starch and biscuits.
In this way, 60 thousand households distributed in 526 colonies in the rural and urban areas of the municipo received food support, favoring approximately 240 thousand inhabitants with necessities contemplated within the dish of good food.
With these actions, the Government of Morelia headed by the Municipal President, Raúl Morón Orozco, endorses his commitment to improve the environment of citizenship, bringing well-being to the homes most in need of our municipality.
