For his part, Nahuel Levaggi, president of the Central Market Corporation of Buenos Aires, said: “Since we started our management in the Central Market we are working on different policies and price agreements, such as the Social Supply Commitment, with the aim of guaranteeing accessible food prices for the population.” In this regard, he emphasized that this meat agreement worked with the Ministry of Commerce, market butchers and refrigerators, “is one more concrete action so that the population can consume food at reasonable prices, in a year that was difficult and especially now that the holidays are approaching”.
In the agreement reached by the Ministry of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Productive Development and the ABC Consortium of Argentine Meat Exporters, refrigerators undertake to provide 1,300 tons of export beef for consumption in Argentine households for the holidays.
