Mexico City.- Due to the return to the red epidemiological traffic light, the Catholic Church issued a statement announcing that masses with face-to-face in Mexico City and México.De State are cancelled in accordance with the statement issued by the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico, announcing that due to the red light, the measure was taken not to make masses with the presence of faithful in the temples of the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico , however, the services of the faithful will continue to be opened to encourage with due prudence and in accordance with the established protocol.

So from this Saturday, December 19, until January 10, no face-to-face masses will be held in the temples of Mexico City and The State of Mexico.
Following the announcement of Mexico City and the State of Mexico, they will return to the red light for the uptick in coronavirus contagions, the Catholic church called on priests to hold masses privately and broadcast them on social media.
The church also asked parishioners to financially support priests, because because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a serious time in funding for the usual income shortage and the best way to support it is through Tithing, which everyone can leave in parishes, rectories or chapels and even digitally. According to Archbishop Carlos Aguiar Retes, he explained that every day, during this time and even on January 20, 24, 25, 27 and 31, as well as january 1, 3 and 10, the Holy Mass will be transmitted through social networks of the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico, From the Faith and in the Basilica of Guadalupe.” We are at a crucial moment from which to a large extent the lives of many Mexicans.
