According to official estimates, presented at a daily press conference, the percentage of COVID lethality (the probability of dying if the disease is found) increased from 6 to 8% in Mexico.
In addition, the trend of decreased cases was reversed, with estimated cases increased by 4% between weeks 52 and 53 of the epidemic.
In the same period, COVID-19 recoveries were reduced by 6%, and the percentage of positivity, which indicates the number of confirmed cases among suspects, is 44%.
