This Saturday, cold front No. 27 will spread over the northwestern Caribbean Sea, gradually affecting Mexico, however, the associated air mass will maintain a very cold environment with morning frosts in much of the country, persistent fogs and rains in the east and southeast, as well as a strong “North” event on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec, which will decrease in intensity overnight, when the air mass begins to modify its thermal characteristics.
On the other hand, a new front will approach the northern border of the Mexican Republic, causing strong winds in Sonora and Chihuahua. Finally, the jet stream will continue to strengthen rainfall potential in the west, central and south of the country.

Heavy to spot rains very strong (50 to 75 mm): Veracruz (south).
Chubasque intervals with heavy spot rainfall (25 to 50 mm): Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Tabasco.

Cold to very cold environment at dawn with mists and frosts in high areas of the region, as well as temperatures that can reach -5oC in mountainous areas of the State of Mexico and 0oC in high areas of Mexico City. West and southwest wind from 10 to 20 km/h with streaks of 30 km/h. In Mexico City, a maximum temperature of 20 to 22oC and a minimum of 7 to 9oC are forecast. For the capital of the State of Mexico, maximum temperature from 17 to 19oC and minimum of 3 to 5oC.
Baja California Peninsula: Sky clear most of the day and no rain in the region. Very cold environment with frosts in mountainous areas of Baja California. North and northwest wind from 15 to 30 km/h with streaks of up to 60 km/h in the region, including the Gulf of California.
North Pacific: Clear sky during the day. Very cold atmosphere during the morning and warm in the afternoon. West component wind from 10 to 25 km/h in the region, plus gusts of up to 60 km/h in Sonora.
Pacific Center: Medium cloudy sky in the afternoon with isolated rains in Michoacán and no rain in the rest of the region. Cold atmosphere in the morning and warm to hot during the afternoon, with maximum temperatures above 35oC on the coast of Michoacán. West component wind from 15 to 30 km/h.
South Pacific: Cloudy sky with heavy spot rains in Oaxaca and Chiapas, as well as showers in Guerrero. Cold environment with fog banks in mountainous areas. “North” event with streaks of 70 to 90 km/h in the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec, as well as swell 2 to 4 meters high in the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
Gulf of Mexico: Cloudy sky most of the day, with very heavy spot rains in southern Veracruz; strong in Tabasco and without rain in Tamaulipas. Cold atmosphere in the morning, with fog banks in mountainous areas of the region. “North” event with streaks of 60 to 70 km/h on the coast of Veracruz and 50 to 60 km/h on the coast of Tamaulipas and Tabasco, as well as swell 1 to 2 meters of significant height on coasts of the region.
Yucatan Peninsula: Cloudy sky with intervals of showers in Campeche and Quintana Roo, as well as isolated rains in Yucatan. Warm. “North” event with streaks of 50 to 60 km/h and swell of 1 to 2 meters of significant height on the coasts of Campeche and Quintana Roo.
North Table: Partially cloudy and rainless sky. Very cold morning atmosphere in most of the region, and frosty icy in mountainous areas. Variable steering wind from 15 to 30 km/h, plus streaks of 60 km/h in Chihuahua.
Central Table: Cloudy sky during the afternoon with heavy spot rains, electric shocks and possible hail drop in Puebla, as well as showers in Hidalgo and Morelos. Very cold atmosphere and banks of morning fog in mountainous areas and tempered to warm during the afternoon. Variable steering wind from 15 to 30 km/h.
