Health authorities reported 544 more deaths from COVID-19, for a total of 141,000,248 deaths from the disease.
They also confirmed 8,074 more cases of the virus, for a cumulative of one million 649,502 people who have become ill with COVID, since the onset of the epidemic.

However, it is estimated that 98 thousand 554 (5%) are active cases from developing symptoms in the last 14 days.
At a press conference, health authorities noted that the trend in estimated cases of COVID-19 has increased by 1%, according to data in the first week of 2021.
In addition, they noted that the percentage of COVID lethality (the probability of dying if the disease is available) was reduced from 8 to 7% in Mexico.
As for the national vaccination plan, it was confirmed that so far 492 thousand, 529 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been applied.
