Following the recommendation of the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT), the Government authorized the Sinopharm vaccine, produced in China, against coronavirus as an emergency. “Authoritatively authorize the inactivated SARS COV-2 (vero cells) vaccine, developed by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products Laboratory of the People’s Republic of China under Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 27.573 and in accordance with the recommendations of the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology,” says the first article of Resolution 688.

A million doses of the vaccine developed in China will arrive in Argentina on Thursday, which, together with a new batch of Sputnik V, will speed up the immunization process across the country
The measure was taken in the context of a trade agreement between the national government and the Chinese National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation for the acquisition of one million doses. who will start arriving in our country in the coming days. As reported by Argentina’s health portfolio, the vaccine requires two doses to be applied at least 21 days apart, and can be transported and stored between 2 and 8oC and remain stable for 24 months. Phase I and II clinical trials, which were published in the medical journal The Lancet, showed that this vaccine is safe and effective. Phase III trials were also conducted in Argentina by the Guest Foundation in the Vacunar centers, with the participation of 3,000 volunteers.
