Do you know what production processes are?
Production processes are a series of procedures performed by companies, factories or people to generate products or services. These are classified in:Project: it is that specific and personalized product that is made to meet the needs of a particular consumer, this process must be very controlled. They can be products such as a house or building, a plane, a boat, a painting, a sculpture, a prosthesis, medical products or can also be services, such as organizing a wedding. Batch production: this is when small quantities of a product with the same characteristics are made; templates are used and machines are adapted to get the job done. When the required batch or number of parts is finished, it is changed to another product with different traits. This type of process is recurrent in the food and pharmaceutical industry. Mass production: This system is used to produce large quantities of a product. The processes are continuous, they have an order and the human work involved is considerable. The machinery used for this type of work is particular, as is the training of its operators. An example of this production model is the development of pens, smartphones and automobiles. Continuous production: it is in which the product goes through a series of constant processes, requires a high specialization in automation and can produce 24 hours a day.
