Morelia, Michoacán.- Morelia’s municipal president, Humberto Arróniz Reyes, said that in the second week of March the first doses of Covid-19 vaccines for older adults could arrive in Morelia.
In interview, the official said this news was given from the federation and assured that vaccination will be done for older adults as a priority and then will see if there is the possibility of immunize priority staff in the municipality such as firefighters, Civil Protection members, solid waste collectors and police.

“The health personnel of the municipality are already immunized and now that the vaccine arrives we will see if you can give doses to the staff that are in greater contact with the population such as Civil Protection, Firefighters, solid waste,” he explained.
He said he was confident that the arrival of the first doses of the vaccine would help reduce the number of covid-19 cases reported in Morelia, which he said went down, after January was the month with the highest number of confirmed cases and hospitalizations.
