Mexico City.- The National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) asked health authorities and collaborators in the national covid-19 vaccination program not to photocopy or take photographs of people’s identification credentials to receive the vaccine in Mexico.Through a statement the unit reported that performing such an act could be contrary to the principles of proportionality, provided for in the General Law on the Protection of Personal Data held by Obligated Subjects, and the physical or digital collection of the aforementioned means of identification is not justified.
