Mexico.- For today, a low-pressure channel will spread over the east of the country, coupled with the inlet of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, will cause showers over northeast, east and southeastern Mexico, with heavy spot rains in northern Chiapas. On the other hand, a second low pressure channel will extend over the center of the territory, interact with instability in the upper atmosphere and with the inlet of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific Ocean, causing rains accompanied by electric shocks in the south and center of the country, including the Valley of Mexico. Finally, a high-pressure system at mid-atmospheric levels will keep the heat wave warm to very hot in western, southern and southeastern states of Mexico, with temperatures above 40oC in areas of Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guerrero, Morelos and Puebla.
