Tamaulipas Health Authorities blamed the federal government for the mis management of 22,800 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Sinovac, and de-eded responsibilities for its implementation.
In one position, Gloria Molina Gamboa, Secretary of Health of Tamaulipas, said that dependence should be delinquend from the effects of these vaccines, which were exposed to temperatures between 12 and 13 degrees Celsius.
“While the Federation has decided that they can be applied to individuals, the Ministry of Health is de-liable for the effects this vaccine can have on those who have been applied,” he said.

This, a day after authorities in Nuevo León returned a total of 33 thousand 480 doses of Sinovac for mis management, according to the Secretary of Health, Manuel de la O Cavazos.
Hours later, the Federal Ministry of Health noted that the evidence provided by the same company argues that vaccines can withstand these temperatures for more than a week.
“We have evidence from Sinovac that the vaccine does not lose its potency and can be up to seven days to 25 degrees Celsius and still has the same potency,” said Ruy López Ridaura, director of the Health Secretariat’s Center for Preventive Programs and Disease Control.
Even the official said they can stay up to 10 days under this temperature without affecting their efficiency; from the age of 14, it would lose power, according to health authorities.

“The temperatures they were in never passed 12, 13 degrees and were less than an hour or two hours. each of the entities has been informed that there is no problem using these vaccines,” he said at a press conference.
However, Tamaulipas authorities said they did not have the evidence that federal authorities argue, so they refused to apply them.
“The federation didn’t do what it had to do. Secretariat holders should have been considered to give us the information that the Sinovac company says they gave, which we don’t have and don’t know, and that in the face of these facts we completely de-we get rid of the application of these 22 thousand 800 doses if they decide to apply them in Tamaulipas,” she insisted.
