Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying his final days in Turin after playing three seasons at Juventus, who wants to sell it to get rid of his salary which reaches 31 million euros per year, which is why he cut it at 29 million, according to ‘Corriere dello Sport’. The striker would come out by a much lower figure, as he arrived in 2019 in exchange for 115 million including premiums and commissions, because few clubs can take over such a salary, that being so high became unsustainable for a club that fails to fight for the Champions League.When he arrived in Turin, the analysis was that the figure of his salary would be amortized at the end of the season for the increase in revenue generated by having a figure the size of CR7, as in merchandising (the club won 16 million euros in the first year for sale of housemakers), subscriptions and also in agreements with sponsors.
In fertilizers, there was no increase, but prices increased, from 881 to 1,029 euros, which allowed to reach 30 million euros with a 17% increase. The second season, although having a strong impact of Covid-19, was even the highest yield, with an estimated contribution in profits of 2.8 million euros in subscriptions and 4.7 million euros in individual tickets. While the biggest increase came with sponsors as the agreement with Adidas increased 23 to 51 million euros per year, plus a premium paid in 2018/19 of 15 million euros, while the other “main sponsor”, Jepp, also improved the contract thanks to the figure.
