Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro will not finally visit Argentina at the end of the month, as the Mercosur summit to be held in person in Buenos Aires will be virtually done. Bolsonaro’s arrival in Buenos Aires was announced by the end of March. “On March 26th I will be in Buenos Aires, in our dear Argentina. We will be celebrating the 30th year of the creation of Mercosur,” said the leader of the Palacio del Planalto himself.The Argentine ambassador to Brasilia, Daniel Scioli, had confirmed the arrival of the Brazilian representative, who was to meet for the first time in person with Alberto Fernández.
Argentina’s decision to move to the virtual modality is due to the increase in cases in neighbouring countries, coupled with the new strains that could be introduced into the country with the arrival of delegations.
