Mexico.- Ricardo Anaya Cortés lashed out once again against the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), at the end of one year after declaring phase three of the Covid-19 pandemic in Mexico, blaming the representative of the thousands of deaths left by the health emergency. The candidate for the presidency of Mexico in 2018 by the National Action Party (PAN), Ricardo Anaya indicated that at the same time as serving a year with the pandemic in Mexico, a year of AMLO lies was fulfilled, questioning the actions that the Federal Government has implemented for the fight against the pandemic.

In a video posted through his social media, and in the midst of the campaign for the 2024 presidential election, Ricardo Anaya presented recommendations to address the health emergency without passing up opportunity to hold AMLO accountable for deaths in Mexico.Read more: Border with the United States could reopen when states are located in green: SREIn this sense Ricardo Anaya recalled that the Covid-19 pandemic triggered the economic crisis in Mexico, because of the large number of cases that were recorded at the beginning of the health emergency, resulting in an economic closure.
Ricardo Anaya assured that AMLO’s lies caused contagion to soar in Mexico, recalling some of the president’s early statements, where he told citizens that they could continue to embrace and nothing happened.” You know why? Because the president and his government have been telling us lies for a year, a year of pandemic, a year of lies, (…) many people believed him, let their guard down and passed away, and lies followed,” Anaya said. Having lashed out at Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Hugo López-Gatell, Ricardo Anaya made three proposals to be able to effectively attend to the pandemic in the country. First, the politician asked the authorities to stop telling lies to cover up their actions in health emergency care. Anaya also indicated that the cancellation of public works, such as the construction of the Dos Bocas refinery, could help re-increase resources to try to address the pandemic, providing support to families for economic revival. Finally, Ricardo Anaya proposed that the government allow aid from state, municipal, civil society and agencies to be helped to design a joint strategy.
