This Saturday morning, seismic alert was mistakenly activated at various points in Mexico City. He didn’t register.
The alert sounded at 8:16 a.m. In various colonies of the capital people evacuated their homes.
Minutes later, head of government Claudia Sheinbaum reported that there was no sign so she instructed the C5 director to review why the alerts were triggered.

For his part, the National Seismological confirmed that there was no isism and that the alert was falsely activated.
At 8:16AM, the seismic alert was falsely activated in some areas of the CDMX. The SSN reports that at that time there is no record of any strong sism in the country.

The CDMX C5 reported that it reviews “exhaustively the reasons why seismic alert was triggered. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.”

Just this Friday night there was an earthquake of magnitude of 5.9, with epicenter in Guerrero that caused the activation of the seismic alert in CDMX.
After the movement, Civil Protection authorities conducted the review of buildings and homes, but ruled out affectations.
