It was always said that Rock is one of the environments that never cease to amaze, rock and out of control go hand in hand. This time, it is the case of the crazy desire of Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, bassist and vocalist of the mythical band MotorHead, who died on December 28, 2015 of a cardiac arrhythmia, after being diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Before his death, Kilmister made it clear to his intimates to do with his ashes after cremating him, he wanted his remains to be kept in bullets and distributed among close friends, as confirmed by Riki Rachtman, host of the MTV show Headbangers Ball
“Before his death #Lemmy asked that his ashes be placed in some bullets and delivered to his closest friends. Today I got a bullet and they literally made me cry thank you @myMotorhead”
It should be noted that the bullets came with an emotional letter that read: “We all know that Lemmy met many people, but there were few who he considered friends, let alone those he considered family. Since you’re one of those people I considered family, we’d like to share a little piece of it with you. Lemmy influenced all our lives in a way that none of us can forget, but with these ashes you will not only keep your memories, you will also keep Lemmy with you forever. He was Lemmy and played rock and roll. Don’t forget it”
