translated from Spanish: Indigenous Council does not know the Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán

Michoacán.- The Supreme Indigenous Council of Michoacán #CSIM, through a statement signed and sealed by civil and communal authorities, disrecathed the so-called “Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán” Salvador Querea Jiménez, calling him an Indigenous Governor without representation, undemocratic and illegitimate.
They reported that the appointment of Indigenous Governor was made within the framework of the “1st National Indigenous Migrant Forum” held in Pátzcuaro on March 21 of the current year, without it being on the call or agenda and without the presence of indigenous communities.
They recalled that the National Indigenous Gubernatura (GNI) formerly led by Hipólito Arriaga Pote, is historically an agency created by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and in particular by the so-called “Atlacomulco Group”, as an electoral tactic to detract from the Indigenous National Congress (CNI) and the Indigenous Council of Government (IGC), and which subsequently changed its name to the National Indigenous Government of Mexico (GNIM) under the direction of Candelaria Lázaro Lázaro (GNIM), continuing with the old priist tactics of wanting to impersonate native peoples and communities.
They stated that they do not know the self-appointed National Indigenous Government of Mexico of Candelaria Lázaro Lázaro and the Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán Salvador Querea Jiménez, because they emerged from an undemocratic process where they did not consult any General Assembly of the original communities, so they were imposed by dedazo, denouncing that they do not represent and delinquency indigenous communities, they finally revealed that in Michoacán the figure of Indigenous State Governor is being used by some candidates of the Green Ecological Party of Mexico, demonstrating their illegitimacy and political opportunism.
Below is the full statement:
WITHOUT REPRESENTATION, UNDEMOCRATIC AND ILLEGITIMATE THE INDIGENOUS STATE GOVERNOR OF MICHOACÁN
TO THE ORIGINAL PEOPLES AND COMMUNITIES
TO THE MEDIA
TO THE PEOPLE OF MICHOACÁN
TO THE PEOPLE OF MEXICO
Communities, as of March 26, 2021.
K’eri Kunkorhekua Iretecheri, the Supreme Indigenous Council of Michoacán #CSIM, autonomous and independent council, consisting of civil, communal and traditional authorities from 60 native communities, represented in this manifesto by the Liaison Commission, jointly declare the following:
Within the framework of the 1st National Indigenous Migrant Forum held in Pátzcuaro on March 21 of the current year, outside the call, without being on the agenda and without the presence of indigenous communities, he was unlawfully, undemocratically and arbitrarily appointed Salvador Querea Jiménez as “Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán”, ostentation given by Candelaria Lázaro Lázaro, “National Governor of Indigenous Peoples”.
The National Indigenous Gubernatura (GNI) formerly led by Hipólito Arriaga Pote, historically it is an agency created by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and in particular by the so-called “Atlacomulco Group”, as an electoral tactic to detract from the Indigenous National Congress (CNI) and the Indigenous Government Council (IGC), it subsequently changed its name to the National Indigenous Government of Mexico (GNIM) under the direction of Candelaria Lázaro Lázaro (GNIM), however the old priist tactics of wanting to impersonate indigenous peoples and communities continue.
In this sense, we categorically declare that we do not know the self-appointed National Indigenous Government of Mexico of Candelaria Lázaro Lázaro and the Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán Salvador Querea Jiménez, since they emerged from an undemocratic process where they did not consult any General Assembly of the original communities, being imposed by dedazo, we also denounce that they do not represent in any way the indigenous communities and we completely de-we de-armor them, so that their possible interlocution with the Mexican State is totally unsustainable.
Finally, we reveal that in Michoacán the figure of Indigenous State Governor of Michoacán is being used by some candidates of the Green Ecological Party of Mexico, demonstrating its illegitimacy and political opportunism.
