translated from Spanish: Guerrero Institute also approves of removing candidacy for Felix Salgado

The Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute of the State of Guerrero (IEPCGRO) validated the cancellation of Félix Salgado Macedonio’s candidacy to the governor of Guerrero, by Morena.
In an extraordinary session, the state institute plenary approved the INE agreement that sanctions the licensed senator for omitting reports verifying the amount, origin and destination of the resources he spent in the pre-campaign period.
The sanction was approved in general council session by the 7-on-4 majority vote.
Salgado Macedonio, on March 26, summoned the public to carry out a peaceful mobilization in toll booths, after the INE denied him his registration.
He also said he works, along with lawyers on the challenge he will present to the Electoral Tribunal of the Federation Judiciary, after accusing the INE of putting aside “his role as arbitrator to become a player and put stilt in.”
In addition, he brazenly suspended his campaign events in the state until he was notified by the INE of the withdrawal of his candidacy.
The decision of the General Council may be appealed to the High Chamber of the Federal Electoral Court, which will have the final say.
The electoral institute of Guerrero also eliminated the coalition agreement in the municipalities of Coyuca de Benítez, Cutzamala de Pinzón, Huitzuco de los Figueroa, Petatlán, Pungarabato, San Marcos and San Miguel Totolapan.
“Add to this agreement the municipalities of Atenango del Río, Benito Juárez, Coahuayutla by José María Izazaga, Copalillo, Cuajinicuilapa, Huamuxtitlán, Juchitán, Tlalixtaquilla de Maldonado and Zirándaro de los Chávez and, a change is made regarding the percentage that each political institute will carry regarding the financing of campaign expenses as well as the times of radio and television prerogatives that will correspond to the campaign,” said the Guerrense institute.
In addition, the coalition agreement was abolished by the municipality of Alcozauca de Guerrero and joined by the municipalities of Pedro Asencio de Alquisiras, Teloloapan, Castrejón Apaxtla, General Canuto A. Neri, Cuetzala del Progreso, Ixcateopan de Cuauhtémoc, General Eleodoro Castillo, Cocula, Marquelia, Azoyú, Copala, Técpan de Galeana and La Unión de Isidoro Montes de Oca.
