The Ministry of Health published this afternoon the 111th Epidemiological Report of Covid-19, which contains information on the pandemic collected until 4:00 on 11 April. The report reveals that there are 57,553 active cases across the country and the communes with the highest number of spreaders are Puente Alto (1,922), Maipú (1,253) and Temuco (1,209).
The other communes that make up the 10 with the most active cases are: Valparaiso (1,156), Pudahuel (1,087), Florida (1,050), Santiago (987), Curicó (986), Los Angeles (963), Peñalolén (950). In this way, six are located in the Metropolitan region.
On the other hand, the three communes that increased their active cases the most compared to the previous week were Pudahuel (+302), Puente Alto (+227) and Copiapó (+202).
Meanwhile, the three that experienced the greatest declines, compared to the same time stretch, were Valdivia (-135), Auñoa (-100) and Las Condes (-98).
The report states that the highest cumulative incidence rates per 100 thousand inhabitants, as confirmed by laboratory, are in the Magellan Region (14,607.9), Tarapacá Region (9,781.8) and Los Lagos Region (8,391.4)
Of the confirmed and probable reported cases in EPIVIGILA, the median age is 38 years, where 7.29% were for children under the age of 15, 25.55% for people 15-29 years of age, 28.98% for people under the age of 30-44, 28.04% for people 45-64 years of age, while the remaining 10.15% for adults age 65 and older.
