Mexico City.- For a few months Now Mexican football has started to take on women’s football more importantly and the Liga MX will seek to push it towards international tournaments. Liga MX President Mikel Arriola announced that he will seek to boost the participation of Women’s League teams in international competitions.

“Spaces are sought for women’s teams to have competitions abroad in two modalities: a permanent tournament and after the pandemic a tournament in Mexico with North America, South America and Europe,” she explained at a press conference. Arriola said at the beginning of the season that the Women’s League is the most growing asset in mexican football, above the first and second male divisions.
