Morena-PT’s coalition candidate for the district of Zacapu, Michoacán, Blanca Alfaro Vázquez, died on Tuesday as a result of a heart attack.
Local media point out that the death came when she was campaigning.
Hours before the death was confirmed, Alfaro Vázquez shared photographs of the tour made by his District to promote the candidacy, in the company of the aspirant to the municipal presidency of Jacona, Isidoro Mosqueda.
“I will continue to visit our District to hear the voice of our citizens and take it to the State Congress,” he wrote on his social media.
Blanca Alfaro served as a teacher at the Zacapu Valley University Center and was known for being one of Morena’s founders in the state.
The decess was regretted by other Morena contenders, such as Raúl Morón Orozco, who is awaiting the federal Electoral Court’s decision to contend for the governorship of Michoacán.

Now, the match has a period of 3 days to choose a surrogate or substitute for Blanca Alfaro.
