Morelia, Michoacán.- The candidate for the municipal presidency of Morelia by the Morena-PT coalition, Iván Pérez Negrón, assured that his government project is focused on following coordination with the federation to manage resources to undertake programs that improve the quality of life of citizens.
In an interview with Monitor Expresso, the candidate said his governance plan consists of 4 axes: better quality public services, economic development, boost to tourism and culture and finally security.
He noted that the city council that led Raúl Morón Orozco since 2018 had great successes in social and economic development programs that he ensured must have continuity, but there must also be policies to support traders and service providers who are on the brink of bankruptcy by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“What we need is to rescue the local economy, invest and focus the resource to initiate Morelia’s economic revival, and also make drastic decisions in public administration when needed,” he said.
He reiterated that Morelia should stare forward and not bring back the profiles that were previously in power and proved inefficient, as is the case with Alfonso Martínez Alcázar.
In this regard, he invited the public to reason his vote very well on 6 June and reiterated that his greatest commitment is to endorse Morelia’s relationship with the federation to continue with social benefit programs.
