President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a virtual meeting on May 7, Chancellor Marcelo Ebrard said.
The virtual meeting with Kamala Harris will be joined by Marcelo Ebrard, and the Secretary of Economy, Tatiana Clouthier.

The meeting will discuss cooperation to address Mexico’s pandemic and proposal to extend the Sowing Life to Central America programme to address forced migration through poverty.
“It will be a productive and cordial conversation,” the holder of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs wrote on his social networks.
Following the last conversation of Presidents López Obrador and Biden, digital meeting will be held on May 7 with Vice President Kamala Harris. Marcelo Ebrard and Tatiana Clouthier will participate with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The vice president will also meet virtually with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei next week to discuss the increase in migrants, and will visit Central America in June.
Unlike Republican Donald Trump, who emphasized preventing immigrants from crossing the border, Biden and Harris are committed to helping regional governments address the poverty and violence that lead people to embark on the difficult journey to the United States.
On April 22, López Obradora took advantage of the U.S.-organized Climate Change Summit to tell his counterpart, Joe Biden, that the force will not solve the problem of mass migration and focused his speech on the need to expand the Sowing Life program.
