The Vice-President of the Nation, Cristina Kirchner, fired Transport Minister Mario Meoni, who died in a traffic accident on Route 7 on Friday night, on his way to Junín to visit his family. Through a short tweet published nearly 12 hours after the tragic event, the former representative joined the messages of leaders from across the political arc who mourned the death of the national official.

“I deeply regret the passing of Minister Mario Meoni. My condolences to his family and friends,” CFK wrote on his Twitter account.
The car, an official vehicle in Meoni’s portfolio, had the AE75940 patent and the accident occurred when the minister was on his way to spend the weekend with his family in Junín.On Friday night, the news, President Alberto Fernandez also chose social media to express his first message at the death of a member of his cabinet: “With him we lose a full, tireless and honest politician. An exemplary official,” he said.
