translated from Spanish: Outdoor City Program will be permanent in CDMX, under these conditions

The Government of Mexico City announced that the ‘Outdoor City’ program will remain in the capital, despite overcoming the COVID pandemic, because of the good results that have been achieved.
‘Outdoor City’ is aimed at prepared food outlets, in order to provide outdoor service.
In pressconference, the capital authorities disclosed the conditions to be met in the new stage of the programme.

Businesses interested in adopting this system must register from Friday, May 7, on the siapem.cdmx.gob.mx.
What is it?
Businesses that register may place detachable equipment on public roads and install in a fixed manner the structures that are necessary to provide service. For example: light awnings on sidewalks, platforms, fixed barriers or protection signals for the case of equipment in parking strip on vehicular stream.
For their part, establishments must ensure the protection of the customer with physical and signal barriers, and on sidewalks, they must leave a pedestrian-free space of a width of at least one meter.

Businesses that are located in places where they have a strip of parking, will be able to use that space to place equipment. The capital government clarified that semovi staff will determine and authorize the use of these vehicle spaces.
Measures within business
Once installed, merchants must comply with certain measures in order to provide service.

Outdoor tables may not be more than 75% of the tables available inside the trade.
Smoking cannot be allowed indoors, and outdoors businesses must assign an exclusive place for people who want to do so.
The tables should be placed at a distance of 1.5 meters between each and have a design and colour with colors that fit those of the business and the urban image of the colony, town or neighborhood.
In the case of the Historic Center, the colors may be: navy blue, forest green, coffee, terracotta and wine, as indicated in the Citizen Manual for the care of the Historic Center.
In Historical monuments or adjoining monuments, establishments must have the authorization of INAH.

New measures for trade
On the other hand, the CDMX government reported that COVID hospitalizations in the capital continue downwards, so it continues at orange traffic lights to yellow.
In response, new measures were announced for trades that resumed activities several weeks ago.
In the case of commercial establishments, the closing hours will be extended until 20:00 hours and can operate with a capacity of 30%.
This, with the exception of department stores and supermarkets that can operate 24 hours a day.
While the hotels will expand their capacity to 60% and restaurants will be able to serve until 23:00 hours outdoors and at 22:00 hours indoors.
Until this Friday, in the CDMX there are 1,681 people hospitalized by COVID, of whom a thousand 119 are in general hospitalization and 362 intubated.
