Health authorities have already reported 15 consecutive weeks with a reduction in the trend of COVID-19 cases, with 13% less, between weeks 15 and 16 of the year.
They also confirmed 112 more deaths from the virus, so they add up to 217,345 recognized deaths.

In addition, 1,027 new cases were added, ranging from 2 million 349,900 people who have become ill with COVID since the start of the epidemic.
However, the authorities estimate that 20 thousand 527 (less than 1%) are active cases from developing symptoms in the last 14 days.

More than 12 million people vaccinated against COVID
So far, 18 million 471,669 vaccines have been applied to the virus, of which 7 million 792,707 are complete schemes.
At a press conference, authorities said this implies that 12 million 625,860 people are already vaccinated (10% of the population in the country)
This Sunday, May 2, 139 thousand 158 doses were applied, according to official data.
