In four regions of the country, meanwhile, the occupancy of ICU beds exceeds 95%: Valparaiso, Metropolitana, Maule and La Araucanía. Nationally, occupancy was recorded at 94.1%.
Regarding the vaccination process, the report detailed that “considering that protection against the virus is reached after two weeks, we could say that 84% of the population of 70 years and older, 51% of the population between 50-69 years and 24% of the population between 18-49 years, as of May 10, is protected by the vaccine”.
