translated from Spanish: Authorities are looking for more remains at the home of alleged femicide

On the third day, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) continued the search for human remains and other evidence at the home of Andrés “N”, suspected femicide detained in Atizapán.
Among the measures carried out by the authorities is the excavation of one of the rooms of the house, in order to look for remains of this and other evidence related to the investigation.
The evidence found on the site is being analysed by expert staff at the FGJEM facility, without any need until now to specify how many victims the remains belong to, according to the unit.

Ministerial diligence was initiated last Monday in the property located on Margaritas Street, of the Lomas de San Miguel colony in that municipality.
To carry out the excavation work, Civil Protection personnel and a crew of the City council of Atizapán underpinned the property, in order to avoid any possible collapse.
Andrés “N” was arrested on Tuesday and transferred to the Tlalnepantla Detention Centre for his likely participation in the femicide of a 34-year-old woman, whose remains were found in the basement of the home.
Other objects such as voter credentials, clothing, footwear and women’s bags were located on the site, as well as notebooks with various names, video cassettes and makeup.
