translated from Spanish: Leandro Penna and her new life in Chile, from TV to greening

Leandro Penna became known in our country for being Marley’s “bather”, however we haven’t seen him in any medium in a long time. Now, Fernanda Iglesias spoke to him for “This Is Not Hollywood”, his radio program and we were able to know the new, and successful, reality that lives the young man in the sister country of Chile.

The Cordoba model explained that last year she was doing dance and television in that country, but that life changed from one moment to the next. “The pandemic hit us all, we have to reinvent ourselves and give it forward, I have a avocado enterprise, I’m a verdulero,” he said. And then he detailed, “Today I’m selling 150 thousand kilos a week, I’m touched by the wand because everything I play works out for me,” he said gracefully.

To give a framework of how he came to this venture he explained that : “I had a restaurant in Chile that I had to close it. I was putting together a burger joint in Chile that wasn’t there, I started small and today I’m selling to great restaurants and sushi places.” As an irony of the situation, Fernanda asked him if he was a consumer of assiduous avocado and to the surprise of the journalist, Penna replied that he did not like the avocado: “Not as avocado, we do not have the culture of avocado but here in Chile they eat it with everything, everything gets avocado”. But the reason for the start of the verdulero business had to do with a friend who “the bank was about to finish off the truck … I rented the truck for him so he’d start. Today I have 7 trucks of my own, I have 25 employees. My company’s name is Palta Royal.” To close the interview, the former model encouraged the audience to follow his dreams and left a hopeful message: “Never be discouraged. We have to keep fighting, we have to be convinced that we can get ahead… I spent 7 months without workers, to learn the business …. until I hired people, billing a lot, a lot of work. I’ve been offered to go back to Argentina for some projects. We’ll be back,” he said.
