Zamora, Michoacán.– A woman lost her life, while a man is struggling between life and death, after being attacked with bullets while traveling on a bicycle, in this city of Zamora. Once again, the assailants managed to escape in an unknown direction.
It was during the afternoon of this Tuesday, when C5i personnel were notified about an assault with firearms behind the regional hospital, on Avenida Del Vergel, between Avenidas 20 de Noviembre and Ferrocarril.
Elements of the Municipal Police and Michoacan Police were mobilized to the site who located the injured couple, so they cordoned off the area apparently to prevent it from being contaminated, however for several curious minutes they remained inside the sheltered area.
Minutes later, Rescue and Rescue paramedics arrived and confirmed the death of the woman, who was between 25 and 30 years old, wearing blue denim pants, as well as a black blouse, jacket and boots.
They also assisted the approximately 35-year-old male, who was denim pants, gray sweatshirt, red shirt and brown shoes, which was taken to a hospital where it was reported as serious.
Their identity is unknown.
The staff of the Attorney-General’s Office undertook the corresponding investigation, in order to initiate the respective investigation file.
